Impression Nippon Series

印象Nipponシリーズ

新感覚で創造された美しい日本 画家として36年間、日本の各地を旅し た。その総合印象Nippon。油画、日本 画、版画と水墨画技術でまとめた新しい タイプの作品と言える。日本の風土、文化 を愛し、その深部まで理解することに努め た画家としての新境地と思っています。

Changing Impressions of Japan As a painter for 36 years, I have traveled all over Japan, resulting in my overall impressions of Nippon. It can be said that this is a new type of work that combines oil painting, Japanese painting, printmaking, and ink painting tech- niques. As a painter who loves and seeks to deeply understand the culture and nature of Japan, I believe this series represents a new frontier in my artistic journey.

Sakura Series

桜シリーズ

宇宙を感じる桜の美しさにため息
日本人にとても愛されている桜は、多くの画家 のモチーフになっている。 私は背景を抽象化させ、花の姿の立体感、また は透明感は具象的に描くことで花を際立たせる 方法をとっている。桜は宇宙に浮かぶ美の歓喜 なのである。

The Universe Seen in Floating Sakura
Sakura, much loved by the Japanese people, has been a popular motif for many painters. I employ a technique that abstracts the background while rendering the three-dimensional form and transparency of the flowers in a more concrete manner, making the blossoms stand out. Sakura represents the joy of beauty floating in the cosmos.

Fuji Series

富士山シリーズ

雲が流れ太陽の光が移ろう富士の神秘
古くから信仰の対象でもあり、また芸術の源泉 ともなっている富士山。 私も崇高な美しさを持つ富士に魅せられて、数 十年前から、赤富士、墨富士、金富士、抽象富士 を多数描いている。

Sunlight and Clouds Temper Fuji’s Majesty
Mount Fuji has long been an object of worship and a source of artistic inspiration. Enchanted by its sublime beauty, I have been painting various iterations of Mount Fuji, such as Red Fuji, Ink Fuji, Gold Fuji, and Abstract Fuji, since several decades ago.

Flower Arrangement Series

生け花シリーズ

生け花には様々な流派があるが、時にピアノの音階のようなリズムを感じることがある。そのリズム感を絵にしてみた。中国の絵の具で重量感を加えていくという両方の融合によって、前景、遠景と連なる優雅でダイナミックな山々を表現していきます。

Ikebana has various schools, and at times, one can feel a rhythm akin to the scales of a piano. I attempted to capture that sense of rhythm in a painting. By adding a sense of weight with Chinese pigments, I aim to express a harmonious blend that portrays elegant and dynamic mountains extending from the foreground to the background

Landscape

山水

日本と中国の絵の具を使うことが重要です。日本の紅絵の具が、墨で描かれた山の稜線やそれを取り巻く空気の透明感を醸し出し、中国の絵の具で重量感を加えていくという両方の融合によって、前景、遠景と連なる優雅でダイナミックな山々を表現していきます。

It is important to use both Japanese and Chinese pigments. The Japanese red pigment brings out the delicate ridgelines of the mountains drawn in ink and the transparency of the surrounding atmosphere, while the Chinese pigments add a sense of weight. The fusion of both creates an expression of elegant and dynamic mountains that extend from the foreground to the background.

Abstract Series

抽象シリーズ

私の抽象作品は、芸術大学院時代に抽象芸術絵画について研究し、いくつかの創作もしましたが、ヨーロッパや米国の色彩芸術とは異なって、白墨の世界で表現、追求していきたいと考えています。墨というものは、中国では五色に分けられると言いますが、加山又造先生は「墨は単なる黒ではなく無制限の色彩を持ち実に神秘的なものである」と言っています。私の抽象作品は、まだまだ探求的な段階ですが、これからも自分の個性的表現を開拓して行こうと思います。

During my time in art graduate school, I studied and created several abstract artworks. Unlike the colorful arts of Europe and the United States, I seek to express and pursue my art within the world of white ink. In China, ink is said to have five colors, and Kayama Matazo once said, “Ink is not merely black but possesses unlimited colors, making it truly mysterious.” Although my abstract works are still in an exploratory stage, I am determined to continue developing my unique expression.

Nature Series

花鳥虫魚シリーズ

花鳥虫魚シリーズでは、自然界の美しさや豊かさをテーマに、伝統的な技法と独自の表現方法を組み合わせて描かれた作品が集められています。森の中の静寂や生命力を水墨画と色彩で表現し、牡丹の優雅さと芳香を独自の染め技法と日本画の重彩法で引き立て、ふくろうの幸運を呼ぶ象徴を富士花鳥園からのインスピレーションを元に描き出しています。これらの作品は、長年の研究と実践を通じて生まれた独自の表現が光る一連のアート作品です。

The Kacho-Chugu series captures nature’s beauty using traditional and unique techniques. It features serene forests, elegant peonies, and symbolic owls, reflecting years of artistic refinement and practice.
